Prestige is RNG Heroes’ ascension loop. The reset returns your level and current Gold to zero but preserves every owned hero, every upgrade tree purchase, and every Index Gem spent, and grants Prestige Points for permanent multipliers. The hard unlock is Player Level 10. The right time to press it depends on the marginal Gold-per-hour of your current run versus the implied long-term multiplier from another reset.

What is verified about Prestige

  • The AllThingsHow progress guide, the NerdsChalk gold guide, the GamerTweak Prestige walkthrough, and the RoUniverse review all agree on the four facts below.
    • The Prestige button is locked below Player Level 10.
    • The reset returns level and current Gold to zero (carry-on rules: heroes, items, and upgrades survive).
    • The reset grants Prestige Points (1 per reset; multi-point yields are not confirmed in any cited guide).
    • The recommended spend-before-Prestige rule is unanimous: dump Gold into permanent upgrades first.

Tier-I node effects (verified)

Each Tier-I node costs 1 Prestige Point. The four nodes are the only ones the cited guides agree on; Tier-II-and-beyond costs and multipliers are not published by the developer and are kept out of the calculator.

Prestige node Effect Cost (Prestige Points) Source
Prestige Gold I x1.5 Gold multiplier 1 AllThingsHow, NerdsChalk, GamerTweak
Prestige Damage I x1.2 hero damage multiplier 1 AllThingsHow, NerdsChalk, GamerTweak
Prestige Luck I +100% Luck 1 AllThingsHow, NerdsChalk, GamerTweak
Prestige Roll Speed speeds up the roll animation (exact % undisclosed) 1 AllThingsHow, GamerTweak

The recommended first cycle (when you have a single Prestige Point to spend) is Prestige Gold I for the immediate x1.5 Gold multiplier, then Prestige Roll Speed for the second point, then Prestige Damage I, then Prestige Luck I for a later cycle. Use the Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool to confirm that order against your own Gold-per-hour and play-time horizon.

The community-observed math

The community formulas are reconstructed from observable behavior and from the standard Roblox incremental-sim coefficient family. None are developer-confirmed.

  • GoldPerSec_post = GoldPerSec_current * Π (1 + p_node * delta_p_node) — multiplicative stack of every Prestige node purchased.
  • t_unlock_hours = (next_zone_unlock_cost_gold - current_gold_balance) / max(GoldPerSec * 3600, 0.01) — time-to-zone for Dark Forest (6,000 Gold) and The Beach (100,000 Gold).
  • H_payback = Gold_sunk / max((GoldPerSec_post - GoldPerSec_current) * 3600, 0.01) — payback horizon in hours.
  • t* = (Gold_sunk + transition_overhead_minutes * GoldPerSec_current * 60) / ((GoldPerSec_post - GoldPerSec_current) * 60) — crossover minute, the moment a Prestige purchase overtakes the no-Prestige counterfactual.
  • The soft-gate trigger fires when kill_time_seconds > 5 OR current_gold_balance < next_upgrade_cost * 0.10 OR (current_zone == target_zone AND gold_per_sec < 10). Any of those means the calculator returns prestige_now rather than farm_N_minutes.

The decision rule the Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool applies is:

  • prestige_now when t* < horizon_minutes OR the soft-gate is triggered.
  • farm_N_minutes when t* ∈ [horizon_minutes * 0.5, horizon_minutes] and the soft-gate is not triggered.
  • hold_for_target_zone when t* > horizon_minutes and the player is not yet at the target zone.

Zone unlock ladder (verified cost, inferred multipliers)

Zone Unlock cost (Gold) Enemy HP multiplier Gold reward multiplier Source
Starter 0 1.0 1.0 AllThingsHow
Meadows 0 1.4 1.2 Inferred from standard cohort curve
Dark Forest 6,000 2.2 1.6 AllThingsHow, NerdsChalk (cost)
The Beach 100,000 4.5 2.4 AllThingsHow, NerdsChalk (cost)
post-Beach unknown ~9.0 (inferred) ~3.6 (inferred) Inferred; the developer has not published this band

The post-Beach row is labelled “inferred” because the developer has not published enemy HP or reward multipliers past The Beach. The Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool shows the inferred band as a faded row and asks you to enter your own multiplier if you have a current-server measurement.

  1. Before the first reset: Reach Player Level 10 and finish the active rolling session. Spend remaining Gold on permanent upgrades (the Upgrade & Luck Scenario tool ranks the buys against your own values).
  2. At the first reset: Spend the single Prestige Point on Prestige Gold I for the immediate x1.5 Gold multiplier.
  3. At the second reset: Add Prestige Roll Speed to compress the roll cool-down.
  4. At the third reset: Add Prestige Damage I to bring the DPS up to the harder biome enemies.
  5. At the fourth reset and later: Add Prestige Luck I so the rare-tier chance stays ahead of the now-faster Gold income.

The Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool runs the same ranking automatically with your entered Gold per hour, your kill time, your current Prestige Points, and your target zone.

Spend-before-Prestige reminder

The most expensive beginner mistake is to press Prestige with Gold still in the wallet — Prestige resets the current Gold balance to zero. The calculator surfaces a red banner when your current_gold_balance > 0 AND kill_time_seconds < 5, which is the conventional pre-Prestige signal. Spend that Gold on the Upgrade & Luck Scenario tool buy queue first, then press the button.

What this page does not publish

  • Tier-II and beyond Prestige node costs and multipliers. Only Tier-I is published across the cited community guides.
  • The exact per-hour offline payout after each Offline Loot upgrade. The formula structure is verified; the constant is not.
  • The post-Beach zone HP and reward multipliers. The inferred 9.0 / 3.6 band is a model, not a game constant; paste your own measured multipliers into the tool if you have them.

Use the Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool for the per-reset decision and the Dark Forest / The Beach time-to-unlock forecast.

Frequently asked questions

When does Prestige unlock in RNG Heroes?

The Prestige button is locked until Player Level 10. The reset returns your level and current Gold to zero, preserves every owned hero, every upgrade tree purchase, and every Index Gem spent, and grants Prestige Points for permanent multipliers.

What do the Tier-I Prestige nodes do?

Prestige Gold I (x1.5 Gold), Prestige Damage I (x1.2 hero damage), Prestige Luck I (+100% Luck), and Prestige Roll Speed. Each costs 1 Prestige Point.

Should I spend my Gold before pressing Prestige?

Yes. Prestige resets your current Gold balance to zero, so the recommended rule is to dump Gold into permanent upgrades first. The Prestige & Zone ROI Scenario tool surfaces a red banner when you are about to press Prestige with Gold still in the wallet.

How long until I unlock Dark Forest and The Beach?

Dark Forest costs 6,000 Gold and The Beach costs 100,000 Gold. With your measured Gold per hour and the recommended Prestige node spend, the calculator returns hours at current income and hours after the recommended spend.
